EEE PC 900 as you know I installed eeeubuntu going to replace the controversial and distribution 'Xandros.

with Xandros I was immediately at ease demands for more 'than a basic user of a subnotebook can' have, but 'in time (2 days) I realized that having something more' was almost 'impossible and required a more experienced 'high standard. Compromise my balance with this distribution I decided to format everything and install eeeubuntu. Here's what I found something better than xandros: - Installing packages in the distribution piu' conosciuta e supportata al mondo (e intendo migliaia di pacchetti)
- openoffice 2.4 (xandros viene rilasciato con la 2.2)
- firefox 3
- una miriade di applicativi forniti subito all'installazione, grafica e programmi di multimedia compatibili con ogni codec.
- update aggiornatissimi
- compiz (funzioni grafiche 2d di alto livello, che permettono un uso molto personalizzato e fruibile del proprio desktop)
- possibilita' di installare jack, ardour, muse, zynaddsubfx, openarena, tutto con pochi click e senza ausilio di terminale.
Cose che non funzionano subito in eeeubuntu :
-webcam
-controllo volume da tastiera
-lettura SD
-problemi con shutdown
These have all been resolved and / or bypassed with a few tricks. The only thing I have not looked at 'reading the SD cards' cause so far I have had the opportunity to try them.
